Terms of Use

These Terms of Use form a binding agreement between you and Green Spinach Inc, the company behind Save Buddy. By accessing or using the Save Buddy website, app, tools, communities, and related services you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Save Buddy.

1. Who we are

   Save Buddy is a service provided by Green Spinach Inc, based in San Ramon, California, United States. We help people learn better money habits, plan small and frequent savings for urgent and short term needs, and discover suitable financial products that they may open with third party providers.

2. Eligibility and accounts

   1. You must be at least eighteen years old and legally able to enter a contract.
   2. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Keep your credentials secure and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
   3. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. What Save Buddy provides

   1. Education and tools that help you plan and maintain an emergency or short term savings habit.
   2. A conversational assistant that can help you think through cash flow choices and simple what if forecasts.
   3. Content about personal finance and mental well being, including access to incentives for wellness services.
   4. Suggestions about financial accounts such as high yield savings or United States Treasury bills that you may evaluate and open with independent third parties.

   Note: Save Buddy is not a bank. Save Buddy does not hold customer deposits and does not execute securities or money transfers. Any account you open based on a suggestion from Save Buddy is provided by the third party institution and governed by that institution’s terms.

4. Important disclaimers

   1. No investment advice. The content and tools are for education and general information. Save Buddy does not provide investment advice, brokerage services, or portfolio management. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
   2. No tax or legal advice. Tax and legal outcomes depend on your situation and jurisdiction. For guidance, consult a qualified professional.
   3. No medical or therapy advice. Content about mental health and financial therapy is informational. Save Buddy does not provide clinical care and does not form a therapist client relationship. For diagnosis, treatment, or crisis help, contact a licensed professional or local emergency services.
   4. No guarantees. We do not guarantee any outcome, return, rate, incentive, or offer from any third party.

5. Incentives and rewards

   1. From time to time Save Buddy may offer or facilitate incentives that relate to savings behavior or mental well being. Incentives may include educational sessions, discounted or complimentary access to partner services, or other benefits.
   2. Incentives are subject to availability, eligibility rules, partner terms, and verification of qualifying activity. We may modify or discontinue any incentive at any time.
   3. Some incentives are fulfilled by partners directly and require you to share information with them. Your use of a partner service is governed by that partner’s terms and privacy policy.

6. Third party products and institutions

   1. Financial product suggestions are provided for convenience and information. We do not endorse any specific institution.
   2. If you decide to open a financial account with a partner, you will contract with that provider. Fees, interest, risks, transfer limits, and other terms are set by the provider.
   3. If the service allows you to connect an external financial account through an aggregator, that connection is read only, and you authorize us and the aggregator to access account information on your behalf. Aggregators and institutions are independent third parties.

7. Artificial intelligence features

   1. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Always review important information and verify before you act.
   2. Do not rely on AI for decisions that could cause financial harm without independent review.
   3. You are responsible for the prompts, information, and instructions you provide. Do not share confidential or sensitive information unless you understand and accept the risks.

8. Community and communications

   1. Save Buddy may host communities such as a WhatsApp group or webinars. Be respectful, lawful, and constructive. We may moderate or remove content that violates these Terms.
   2. By providing your contact details you consent to receive service messages, updates, and invitations by email and messaging platforms. You can opt out of non transactional messages at any time.

9. Acceptable use

   You agree not to do any of the following.

   1. Use the service for unlawful activity or to encourage others to do so.
   2. Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to access data or systems without authorization.
   3. Submit content that is harmful, infringing, deceptive, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.
   4. Interfere with the operation of the service or burden it with unreasonable traffic.

10. Content, feedback, and license

    1. Our content, logos, graphics, and software are owned by Green Spinach Inc and our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
    2. We grant you a limited, revocable, non transferable license to use the service for personal and lawful purposes.
    3. If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non exclusive, royalty free, worldwide license to use that feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.

11. Third party links and services

    The service may link to third party websites and services. We are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of any third party service is at your own risk and governed by that party’s terms and privacy policies.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

    The service is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Green Spinach Inc disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free.

13. Limitation of liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, Green Spinach Inc and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, loss of data, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of one hundred United States dollars or the amount you paid to use the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

14. Indemnification

    You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Green Spinach Inc and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or related to your use of the service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its consumer rules. The seat of arbitration will be San Francisco County, California. You and Green Spinach Inc waive any right to a jury trial. You agree to resolve disputes only on an individual basis, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding. A court of competent jurisdiction may enter judgment on the arbitration award.

16. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any reason permitted by law. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution.

17. Changes to the service and to these Terms

    We may update the service and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
